Surrounded by 100-year-old oak trees, Dorchester Memory Gardens is the perfect perpetual care cemetery to ensure the future care of your loved one's final resting place.

This beautiful 44-acre cemetery, established in 1978 by the Dyal family of Summerville, sits 65 feet above sea level to avoid flooding, with convenient paved roads and concrete walkways winding through each garden for ease of accessibility. The cemetery is divided into several different gardens, each with an individual theme:

The Chapel of Memories Mausoleum is located centrally in the cemetery and provides 1551 crypt spaces and 312 single urn niches for families choosing above ground entombment or inurnment. The main chapel of the mausoleum offers side-by-side, true companion, couch and single crypt options. There are also two corridors located on each side of the main chapel that also offer side-by-side, true companion and single crypts. The exterior gardens of the mausoleum also offer each of the different crypt and niche options. Fountains, flower beds and cremation benches highlight each of the cremation Reflection Gardens and offer a tranquil setting for visitors.

A columbarium option is located within the Blessed Mother Catholic Garden and features a solid bronze statue of the Pieta. This outdoor niche options, allows for 80 double urn niches and 60 single urn niches. Lamp-lit and paved walkways around the columbarium allow for this section of the cemetery to remain a serene sitting area for after-hour visitors.
